Particle Entity

A Niagara experiment exploring layered particle simulations and procedural motion.

I built this particle entity as a test project for learning how Unreal Engine’s Niagara system works and exploring the interactions it makes possible. It is not a game asset, but a layered experiment that combines several particle behaviors into a strange, alien-like form.

At its center, the entity has a single-particle light distortion effect and a single-particle eye. Around it, a multi-particle simulation of large cubes moves randomly, while many hundreds of smaller cubes float through a vortex driven by curl noise. Together, these layers create the entity’s shifting and unusual appearance.
