Bigfoot Smoke
A smoke effect for the Bigfoot monster that follows the character model and causes a constant supernatural mist to emanate from him.
The smoke sprite was procedurally generated rather than painted as a single fixed image, giving the effect a flexible source that can be reused across the particle system. I built the entire effect in Unreal Engine’s Niagara, where the particles are simulated and rendered, and used signed distance field collision so the mist can physically interact with the surrounding world instead of passing straight through surfaces.
